The Museum Gift Shop was remodeled during the January Break and some of the work spilled over into February and March. The "gate" that was raised and lowered to open or close the Gift Shop from the rest of the musuem was removed and it was replaced with a glass wall and door. That eliminated the problem that some of our volunteers had in having difficulty cranking the gate up or down. This improvement was made through the generous donation of Downing Construction Co. of Indianola who donated both the cost of materials and labor for the improvment.
The layout of the Gift Shop was changed to accomodate the installation of a new bar code and poinit of sale system. Once the data entry for all inventory is completed all sales will be automated with bar code sales and inventory system. That project was partially funded with a Grant from the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership.
