Iowa Balloon

             

The Iowa Balloon piloted by David Beukelman, now deceased, was donated by the David Beukelman family formerly from Fort Dodge, Iowa. It now hangs on the wall in the museum as seen above.  At right is a picture off the balloon inflated.  It bears the design of the official Iowa State Flag.  The exhibit also includes other memorabilia related to the balloon including clothing and an extensive balloon pin and patch collections.
